My husband, Stacy, and I (Katrina) decided to start our own business in January 2014 of making signs after I saw a sign floating around on Facebook, and I really wanted to make it for our kids to always see. We had never done anything like this before, but we just went for it! The sign turned out even better than I could ever have imagined! After we posted it on my facebook page, we got so many likes that we decided to see if we could make and sell signs we make. That turned into making flags, crosses, and even custom coolers! We make and sell our products right out of our home. We enjoy making our products, and we love it that you love it! Our most popular items are our American and Texas flags.

We are Cowboy Capital Rustic Signs because we started out in Stephenville, TX, the Cowboy Capital of the World. We are currently located in Freeport, TX.  We are rustic, because we use wood, and none of our signs have a "perfect" look. Each item we make will always be different due to the nature of wood, and we love that rustic look that it is.

Our kids are also involved in making the signs. Our older two, love to help distress and stain the wood! Our youngest likes to hand us whatever tool we need.

We always start everything we make using brand new wood, and then we distress each piece by hand before staining and painting. We do not use pallet wood, barn wood, or fence pickets. Our rustic look is one that we came up with on our own. The pictures shown never do our products justice, as the finish we use gives every one of our products the perfect look. Every sign we make is painted; it is not vinyl on top of the wood.
